    Gus, the cactus wren is turning out to be a star here! Love the perch and pose. The bg makes this so much more interesting. Excellent processing. TFS.

    Another lovely painting, Gus. :)The colors and BG are just beautiful, and I love how you framed it with the perch coming in from outside the frame. HA could be a little better, but very nice job nonetheless.

    Hi Gus, this is a nice painting. To my eye, the comp works for the outer frame but feels too cramped in the inner one. An easy fix (if you want to of course) would be to make the stroke border about half the size. :cool:

    I love this Gus! I really like how the wren is free and outside of all the boxes. I think the head angle is okay for what I am thinking - that he is gazing at the beauty of what is inside the box and considering going in, but keeping an eye on the outside as well.

    Love all the wonderful detail maintained in the bird feathers.
