    Default hello from Cleveland Ohio

Hello all from Cleveland Glad to be here with this talented group. I do most of my birdwatching/ photo work on the shores and marshes of Lake Erie. A good location for natives and lost migrants. I sling a Canon Rebel XS w 100-300 Tele I'll give you my best.

    Sam:

A big welcome to BPN. A great place to learn and grow as a nature photographer.

You should hit the wood ducks at North Chagrin Reservation if you haven't already. They are great fun and remarkably accessible there.

    Look forward to your posts.

    Cheers

    Randy

My travels are as far Wst as Ottawa County I spend a lot of time with woodies in the Rocky River Res. Most of my shooting is in Lorain at Sandy Ridge res or Avon Lake fishing pier

Hello, Sam! Nice to meet you. You're lucky if you have woodies nearby...I rarely see anything that exotic around my neck of the woods unless its during winter migration.

If you're at all leery about posting, try the Eager to Learn forum. If not, jump on in to Avian and be sure to check out the Educational forums - there's a ton of information there!

Howdy Sam and welcome to BPN. At Chagrin there is no need to chase them--they are right there in gorgeous reflections :)

your absolutly right Aurthur . Nice drake shot. Chagrin is a prize for East Cuyahoga They have held a wood duck photo fair there for about three years The Rocky River Nature center could host the event. Woodies have been out the back door there for years., My wood duck sites are very private for me and the ducks. Hint I work close to public golf courses in the Rocky River. Off the traffic areas. I can get in close. The ducks have good refuge. As you know woodies are nerveous. They like and breed near in these tiny wetlands.
    Woo-Eeek to you.

Thanks for the info Sam. I spoke at the festival a while back. I do not suspect that I will be back in Cleveland any time soon :)
