I just love watching these guys cruise around the neighborhood terrorizing the songbirds. Such awesome birds!!

My first reaction when I saw this image on my LCD was that I wish he had banked a bit. But this pose is kind of growing on me. What about you? What do you think?

I like it, Glen. Good sharpness and eye contact. Great eyeball!
I would not want to be one of his targets!

The "full charge ahead" pose and determined look gave me a smile and good techs aside, that alone makes me like it.

I don't get many chances to shoot a hawk in flight at just about eye level -- That makes the shot for me -- photo looks really good to me

I like the pose as well, Glenn. The "flat-as-a-pancake" wings and tail make the bird look like a fighter jet.

Hi Glen I like it, nice to get it at eye level with great head angle and eye contact, nice capture.

Wow what a look! Super shot, but again for me you guys have skies that need more going on, this plain blue stuff needs some clouds :).

I appreciate what some of the commenters are saying, and I like the shot, I like the eye contact, I like the level angle; but since you asked, I'll say that it does seem as if the hawk is flying away, slipping away from me. However, I haven't studied the shot as you've done, and if I had more time to look at it, the shot could begin to grow on me.

Glenn - yes I would prefer a slight bank but the image, as is, is stunning. Technical detail is perfect to my eye. That sharp and bright yellow eye brings it all to a great focal point.
