This large bird of Africa is one of the heaviest birds to fly. This picture was taken in Etosha, Namibia. Thanks for looking.

What a fabulous in-habitat shot. Perfect shooting angle and the raised-foot pose. If mine, I'd have a little more room at the top.

Nice to have the inclusion of its surroundings. Good exposure and sharpness.

Hi Lorant when I looked at the image it had to be Namibia or Kgalagadi - you have captured the Bustard and the environment for that area perfectly. Lovely subdued light, great plumage detail and good eye contact. I also like the inclusion of habitat.
Most of my shots of this bird are of the back view of it marching away into the distance.:)TFS.

Lorant, this is one of my favorite birds and I like that you were able to capture all of him with such a great bg; nice details and I like the raised foot. After seeing this one, I remembered that I have a portait shot I've been meaning to post so I'll do that now. TFS

Great bird-in-habitat shot. By the way he's looking at you, it seems you didn't have all day to get this shot. Way to go.
