Hi Bill, nice overview of the barren plains, distant mountains and dramatic sky. You concentrated strongly on the clouds which I might give a contrast adj to give them more depth and detail. The grazing horses in the foreground would have more appeal if they were without merges and in better positions. I might have taken a smaller group of them and used them as a stronger foreground while still giving the clouds their due. A vertical presentation would do that also....

Contrast adj. I can do, but horse positions and attitude well that is another story.

Hi Bill, as Dave mentions a nice overview of this location. I agree with Dave's other suggestions too. I think the contrast adjustment will help nicely.

THe clouds are strong element in the image and I like how they appear to radiant out and up from the mountain range. I feel Dave is on to something suggesting the horses needed to be addressed differently. Moving in if possible to concentrate on a few of them and juxtaposing them with the mountain and clouds would/could strengthen the compositional balance of the image.

Like it, like the foreground subjects and dramatic sky.

    Hey Bill,
Yep.....they nailed the critique above on the sky.....so tweaking it will give more impact. The suggestion above on getting seperation is a great one or isolating fewer of them and I'm guessing from attitude....they wanted none of that! That may be why concentrating on one is probably a better idea!

Hi Bill, I like the shot as is with the stormy sky but also agree with the suggestions above. nice image. I've found animals don't listen well to instruction either.

Very nice composition, a little more contrast to the sky
