    Pacific Gull (Larus pacificus)

Captured this flight image down at Barwon Heads this morning and was really happy with the shadow of the open beak on the wing. Love these birds and especially love this plumage stage. They seem to be extra aggressive at this age....full of beans.

Love it. The shadow on the wing adds a whole new dimension to the image :D

Good job handholding 600mm and get good focus on the eye. Normally the shadow cast is undesirable but you made this one look special, excellent job. TFS

This is great mate! love the pose and the shadow perfectly placed takes it up a notch. Very good stuff! :) BTW, good to see another no-wimp who can handhold a 600! :D

    Thanks all, :D
Well my arms are definitely feeling the strain. I used to skateboard and I have broken both arms twice and fractured my right wrist twice as well. I'm going to be a pretty sore old man me thinks:(
