My face is a bit red; it was bloody cold!

I gotta tell you, it is the most amazing experience to be in the middle of so many King Penguins and seals and other wild yet tame (sort of) animals and birds.

My 300/7D on the tripod; the 70-200 on the 5D2.

This image was created by my brother, Steven Gould, on his 50D/17-85.

I will try to post various images of the trip to Antarctica along with the other subject specific images.
    Cheers, Jay

"Nature Interpreted" - Photography begins with your mind and eyes, and ends with an image representing your vision and your reality of the captured scene; photography exceeds the camera sensor's limitations. Capturing and Processing landscapes and seascapes allows me to express my vision and reality of Nature.

What a great portrait. It is high on my bucket list of places to visit! That had to be quite the experience and nice to see you out in the field!

I had no idea they got that big! I mean you see them on TV but never with a human next to them for comparison...that really is amazing! Looks like you had a great time, Jay!

The four of us are booked with the Cheeseman's Group to do the same trip Jan 2014. This time I will spend more time with shorter focal length lenses and serious work the landscape side of Antarctica. Join us!!!

In fact, I could talk to Cheeseman's about Group Rates.

Rod Planck (http://www.rodplanck.com/) has been the lead professional each trip for years.
    Cheers, Jay
