when I saw the thumbnail I thought 'I wonder what exactly that is?', but once I opened the image and really saw that these shapes are formations of birds, my jaw dropped.

Absolutely stunning! It must have been some experience.

What caused the ripples in the top left corner actually?

Beautiful patterns formed here Ken, a thrill just to see let alone photograph.
Might crop out from the ULC if mine. A colour version possible?

    Hi Geoff

i think it was a small clump of them lifting of the water, before they skimmed across, not sure though!

Very creative Ken. super strong composition with the diagonal lines. You've got a great eye.

Your website has some stunning shots. Very inspirational.

Ken, this is a really cool and different image. I love stuff like this, and I like the diagonals here. I'm not crazy about the upper left corner either though. I wonder if you have any zoomed in tighter. Congrats on going for something beyond the norm.

    Cheers,

Certainly a sight to behold Ken, and what a cool angle of capture. I would really like to see the colour version.

This is beautiful, Ken. I like the diagonal lines here and b&w made this intriguing. TFS.
