    Slipper Plant, Gallito

    Scientific Name: Pedilanthus macrocarpus Benth.
    Origin: Mexico (sonora, Baja California)

This plant is different from the rest of our bushes & cacti, Like a Regal Sophisticated Lady surveying her domain. Not flashy like the Trico & cacti flowers . . .

Beautiful composition, Gus. I like the vertical crop. Great bg and the border works well here. I would have preferred uniform light on the Slipper plant. TFS.

Very cool Gus! Nice painting. I like the 3D look.

I like it as is but wish the border on this one were closer to the edges - it feels almost like the border is cramping the plant a bit. You might try bringing up the light on the few parts of the plant that are darker so they match the lighter pieces more (as Indranil suggested) but the overall lighting is exquisite! I can almost feel the sun coming across the scene!

Gus, Great suggestions already given. I really like the way this came out, nice hint of texture in the BG-especially in the upper portion. The lighting is lovely.
