Capture made yesterday on the mud at Bodega Bay, Northern CA. PP'ed, cropped slightly and converted with NX2, further pp'ed with CS3 (slightly lightened forehead, selectively sharpened bird, NR on BG, both with Noiseware Pro, cloned a small light yellow area of the bg out). C&C welcome.

Good low angle there Dan. Love those chocolate tones and great detail.

Hi, Dan. Great exposure and the sharpness is right on too. I like the shooting angle and the water. It all comes together to make a really nice portrait.

    Cheers,

Very nice Dan! I love the low angle and the foot skimming the surface of the water. The shadow created by the wing feathers on the white flanks is very cool! I'll sound picky here, but a tiny bit better HA towards us would have been killer! I also wish the grayish area at bottom wasn't so prominent.

Very nice bird and good low shooting angle. Love the raised foot. Nice light and details.
