I was trying a combination of silhouette and blur and came up with this... settings were

    7D, Sigma 50-500mm @ 500mm hand held
1/15 sec, f/29 Mode: Tv Metering: Evaluative Exp comp: -1

Desaturated the blue and kept the yellow cast as it is... used Topaz Denoise and applied usm to the final web version. Your C&C will be appreciated...

Indranil, I could get lost in the BG! Beautiful!

I really like the wing blur here but wish the body (especially the head) here a little more crisp. You might try a little selective sharpening there if that's what you're going for.

Very dreamy and ethereal image...love it!

I do like it better - let's see what the others say, too. I am not as strong on the blur thing as others in this group!

Hi Indranil, I like the wing blur and the background is sweet. I do like the repost better. I would suggest painting out the dark shadow on the water behind the bird.

Very nice, Indranil. Lovely wing blur, and I like how the bird is silhouetted. Great soft BG colors. The extra sharpening in the repost was the perfect touch. Well done! :)
