One of these days, I'll get a chance to shoot these guys in the wild. For the moment, however, I have to settle for the Phoenix Zoo. I had a rare day this past weekend where the cats were actually awake.

I know it would be better without the twigs in front, but it was my only vantage point.

Ian - you've done well through the twigs and its good simulation for the wild where I often found them behind tall grasses. I like the tongue out pose.

Nice portrait Ian. Good job of getting the eyes clear.

Great eye contact and the tongue makes for an interesting image.

I can imagine your frustration with having to shoot these guys in the zoo! I have the same problem with bears and mountain lions and wolves :)

Twigs mentioned Ian, but I think you did well to at least get the eyes clear and looking at the camera. Nice framing of the head overall with nothing looking "cut off". I hope you get your chance to see them in the wild soon...
