    Default Snow Goos...um, er... Bunting!

Taken last month before I was side-tracked by Snow Goose fever:) A small flock of very cooperative Snow Buntings allowed many good opportunities over the course of many days. I took full advantage (as well as many other photogs) as these guys don't normally allow such a close approach. I thought a pano crop worked well her with the rocks nicely balancing the subject.

I like the pano crop. It shows the rock well and places the Bunting perfectly. I like the BG too. Great image Daniel!

Sweet pose on this one. The blue BG is nice too. Not crazy about the crop.

Don't recall ever seeing one of these against a blue bg. Very pretty. Not in love with the pano crop. The bird feels a little cramped.

Yeah, the pano crop is quite unconventional for an image of a single songbird...I try not to like it, but I keep on finding it good and balanced (glad Jim likes it!):p.

You just get all the luck don't you! ;) Cooperative buntings, thousands of snow geese, a clear sky!!! Sorry, that is the frustration from the "need iso 6400 for even 1/100" weather, which I have had to put up with for the last 3 weeks.

The bunting looks great, but I am not 100% sold on the crop. I am not so sure I have a problem with the pano altogether, but the fact that the eye is dead centre.

Love the crop and the techs look perfect.

I really like the no snow, blue water background as it's a non typical snow goose....er bunting, image :)

I can imagine this image being 3:2 and would look simple, the bird is too low in the frame and its body position makes this one a great candidate for a pano crop which I really like. The blue sky, rocks and perfect head turn makes this one for me.
