    This juvenile Yellow Crown Night Heron pic was taken early morning at Brazos Bend SP, TX.

    Good details, and very sharp eye. I like the alga (duck weed?) on the bill and legs...we can tell this guy was out hunting! Good vertical comp too with this lean and upright posture. I'd would have preferred no white sky at top, and I eould try to remove the OOF tree growing out of the bird's back. Too bad about the extra branch in LRC - would you have been able to move left to get it out of the frame?

    A very nice image of this species. I find the BG a little busy which can be softened easily.

    Nice pointers above. Nice image in nice light overall. Was this originally a vertical or is it a crop?

    Daniel, thanks a lot for the detailed comments. I would have loved to move a little to get a all green BG but there a bush to the left. I agree with you about the oof tree.I will try and get it out.

    Thanks Pieter. This is one of the most common heron in our part of the world.

    Thanks Sidharth. This was framed vertical and has no crop applied in PP.
