    Hi Folks;

    Caught this Cactus Wren sticking his tongue out in our garden today and thought it was different. Took it into free Fotosketcher for oil pasinting, then CS5 for some Mad Painter finishing touches, and a touch of 3D.

    Comments always welcome.

    I like it! The bg is very nice with the Fotosketcher effect. My only suggestion would be to remove the black outline on the tongue. It almost resembles the upper mandible. TFS.

    I concur! You removed my one and only objection.

    Gus, can you tell me how you do the bi-colored frames? How do you get the lighter edge around the main part of the image? I can't quite wrap my brain around how I would do that but I really like the effect.

    Hi Jules

    If your talking about this particular one? I'll have to get particulars from my main computer tomorrow, as tutorial listed in info at top of forum may be too general?

    Using my netbook right now which I only use for e-mail, google & visiting websites

    Keep up the good work & take a nap once in awhile. (I approve this message, Gus Hallgren)

    Here's the original to show the tongue the way it was before the oil painting process changed it Gus

    Gus, Nice job with the filtering and the framing. I do wish the light were more even but I think you did a great job handling it.
