Same juvi Ring-billed Gull as my 'Landing Gull' post yesterday, 1/2 hour before sunset. I've been struggling to improve my keeper rate on BIF against backgrounds other than open sky. More often than not my AF wants to lock onto the distant trees -- all technique, I suppose, although my lens is not touted for its fast AF response. So I'll keep practicing on these guys. C&C appreciated.

Bill, good to see the curvature of the wings, and these head on shots arent easy. The gull pops nicely from the BG.

Sharpness of the Gull makes it pop from the magnificent BG. love the wing position as well.

Nice light, wing position, and a good job separating the bird from the BG.
