Taken very early in the morning in the Timbavati Game Reserve, South Africa. The pride was at the waterhole behind camp as we started the game drive.

Handheld from the safari vehicle. Cropped from rhs to place them less central, contrast boost and sharpened.

    C&C welcome and appreciated. Thanks,

Thanks Harshad. I do think something happened in the posting process, not sure what. One thing was that in reducing the file in the save for web, the quality that it could be saved at was the lowest I have ever had to use even though the file was not the largest.

    Thanks,
    Rachel

High time BPN should raise file size limit to 300kb

    Rachel,

Image is very rich with fine details and I assume you are forced to use high jpg compression. I guess that is what hurting the image quality and make it appear flat. Just a guess.

    Rachel,

I looked at this yesterday and thought that it maybe my monitor here in the UK, but it appears that it might not just be that. What are you using to convert from and how are you doing it?

Rachel, I live in Africa, and havent experienced a sighting like this yet;) Always great to see the youngsters, and in their natural surroundings.

Thanks everyone. Ken - my process here was no different than my process on other posts. I went back and created a new TIFF file and then made the adjustments again (although the crop is slightly different). Let's see if this is any better.

    Thanks again,
    Rachel

I'm guessing Sid is correct. I'm giving up on this one.
