Gus, this is another beauty! I'm still wanting that tail to be as crisp as the head so send me your camera and I'll set the aperture to f8 for you. ;););)
Outstanding wing position - no need for all that pp work from the last go round! You must be going through hummingbird food like nobody's business!
Nice to see some of the other American hummers. Since we only have ruby throated hummers in Michigan, it makes me want to travel to the SW to see some of these other beauties.
Good critique from Julie. Agree about the DOF, but with these guys, always fighting the battle to stop the motion. Can this camera tolerate higher ISOs when well exposed? That would give you some more flexibility with your f/stop and shutter speed.
You're both on the money. FYI, I went from ISO 100, F/5.6 to ISO 200, F/6.3. Next stop was to be ISO 400, F/7.1 This camera is fairly new to me, and have not tried ISO 800 yet. Have only 14 years to go (now 86) so I have time to experiment.
Thanks for your feed back and encouragment.
Gus :)
BTW: Have a fairly neat painted Hummer with added flower that I'm posting to OOTB tomorrow
