Took this girl in Maine this past summer. She was up there with her 4 babies and kept a pretty watchful eye on me. I was waiting for several hours for dad to bring back a fish but it was not to be. Taken with my 7D, 600mm, ISO 400, f/7.1, SS 1/640. I cloned out some of the nest in the LRC because it was OOF and distracting. If you look carefully you could see one her babies under her right wing behind some of the twigs.
Hey Nick,
Great 1K! Congrats Really like the clean blue sky, the pose and the intense look in her face. Exp & sharpness look good too. Nice Job Doc. ;)

Hey Nick,
Congrats on the 1000K! You've come a long way! Even I might want a hair more room on the bottom (rare...I know)........but I think you can open up the underside of the wings to bring out even more detail there.....I'd also remove the twig? ....on the left under wing side. Congrats again!!!
Congrats on 1000 Nick! And man, if even Roman wants more room, you better listen! ;)
Wonderful wing up pose and overall a pleasing image. :) Looking forward to another 1000!
