This little fellow posed for me for about 10 seconds! Managed to get a keeper, I think :D

Never seen one of these Charles... either irl or in any photo. What a tiny beak! :)

Pretty good detail, but perhaps a bit oversharpened.
Not crazy about the perch but I would sure have taken this shot too anyway.
Some strange-ness around the borders of the bird... processing?
    Excellent bg.

The bird doesn't look oversharpened to me. There is something weird going on around the edge of the bird though.

I am debating if this is over sharpened or if you masked this out and did some BG work??? Very neat looking bird. TFS How big is this guy??

Ok, I'm working on a re-edit right now, but are you guys referring to the "halo" around it's tail? That's how it came out straight from the camera, so perhaps it's because of the angle/shallow DOF?

Nice shot of this Juvenile. Wish for a natural perch.

Nick, I have not touched the BG whatsoever. The bird is about 3-4 inches tall. It was mating season when I took this image (this summer).

Here is the edit. I think what you guys were referring to was on its back correct? I saw some PP artifacts there and learned something about LR3. When I originally dodged the back feathers, I had the "feather" feature to about 30%, it created some weird artifacts, so I am very happy that you pointed that out. I re-edited it without the "feather" slider, and I like the results much better. I also adjusted the WB for the actual color on that day (around 2AM, remember, land of the midnight sun). Better/worst?

I've been slammed about the perch before, nothing I can do about it now, it's the land of NO sun now!
