    Default IR Swamphen portrait

I did some toying with this image I just posted in avian. At first I played in DAP since I just revisited the software for the first time in about a year, then added a frac Glow100 on another layer and masked the eye and nostril back in. Now that was not enough and I looked at what the theme was this week so I applied a Nik FX IR filter to taste and tweaked the settings and tried to ensure that some watercolor feel from DAP and a little frac are still visible. Hope you like this fella. :)

Akos, I especially like the textured look to the BG and the IR look worked out well for this. That's a good combo-fract/ DAP. I will have to give it a try soon. The original looks sharp and full of details.

I agree with Denise that the background is fantastic. The effects really worked well, and that eye just goes right through you. An excellent image.

Beautiful work, Akos. I love how you combined the various effects, it gives the image a very interesting feel and texture. Lovely IR look and I like the eye. The only thing I don't entirely like is the blank white area to the right of the head. I think if you added some texture to that area it would be perfect.

Nice! You achieved a complex and appealing effect! Good pp work! Keeping the eye and nostril sharp gives my eye someplace to settle. Agree with Christopher about white area.

Akos, nice effect created here, agree with the above comments regarding white area. I think it will look great once you apply some texture to that area.

Akos, a great combination of filters - I'm not sure I've seen it before. I love the eye which is so piercing and the textures you created.:)
