G'day! I'm Jono from New Zealand. I moved from Australia to New Zealand in early 2008 and currently live in Christchurch. I have fallen in love with the wildlife here in New Zealand in particular its fantastic endemic birdlife – many of which are in serious decline!!!
I'm 27 years old and have a degree in marine science and am a semi-professional wildlife photographer. Other loves of mine include my family, church, surfing, kayaking, hiking etc.
I am very passionate about wildlife!!! My journey in photography started about 3 years ago when I bought myself a Nikon D80. Photography for me back then was simply a way to record the birds that I saw - although in the past couple of years I've grown an immense appreciation for wildlife photography as an art form and now find myself constantly thinking of new ways to improve and create more dramatic images! I currently shoot with a Sigma 120-300 f2.8 lens which I find very sharp, fast and portable.
I'm looking forward to learning and sharing images with you all on BPN :D
