I have a million of these images but never know what forum to post them in. They aren't really macro and they aren't really landscape but they are nature-based...

This is from late October right when the leaves were at their peak. It's a reflection of the trees along the small lake's edge not far from my home.

    Early evening light, handheld
Processed in ACR & CS4; small crop and I toned down a few white areas just a bit.

Beautiful color tones and reflection Jules, these images are always welcomed in OOTB. :)

Thanks, Denise...I guess I keep thinking that if I do normal pp then it isn't really OOTB but the abstractness really is! Okay, then get ready, cause I got a million of 'em from this fall!

I love reflections, and fall colors, so I find this image delightful. What makes it truly special, to my eye, is the variation of texture on the water. There are ripples in the background, a smooth section in the middle, and soft fluttering ripples in the foreground. The rich colors and abstract white lines - Birch tree reflections? - are beautiful.

Fabulous and would be OOTB without any filters Jules. Love the finished image. :)

Beautiful reflections, Jules. Love the fall colors and the abstract pattern of the ripples and tree trunks. Well done.

Thanks everyone! Susan, that's why I liked this one as well - the different patterns of activity in the water really made this one jump out at me over many others I took that evening.

Julie, this is definitely OOTB stuff. I love these impressionistic type images. I like the way you have balanced out the tree trunks throughout the comp.

Thanks Andrew and Cheryl...I loved the position of the tree trunks in this one as well. Sometimes you get lucky and it all falls into place... ;)
