    Default Weekly Theme: Water Gardens

This is a shot of the water Gardens at Longwood captured with a converted Canon 20D. After processing the IR, I added a layer of Topaz adjust in PS and then decreased the opacity just a touch. I straightened the image a bit, cropped some from the bottom, and added a small amount of clarity in LR3. Noise reduction was also done in LR3. All thoughts are always appreciated.

I like this a lot. The symmetrical composition perfectly fits the formal garden.

Dave, Lovely image. I like the way you kept the formal look to this. The processing looks good and the tonal values do also. I do wish we could see the water coming out of the fountains a little more, but I'm sure it is the image size. Great looking image.

Really nice, Dave. I love the formal look and the slight Topaz effect.:o

Hi Dave, this is super and I love the composition. It looks like everything is covered with a light dusting of snow. I remember that stuff from my youth. No, really! Nicely done.

Is this like some English garden? It looks so nice as if it were covered in snow. I must have a crack at this IR processing. well done Dave. :) love the symmetry in the comp.

Thanks everyone for your time and thoughts. I may be able to coax a bit more out of the fountain detail with some work. Kerry, I vaguely remember my youth also, but it's getting foggier all the time, like a senior citizen auto gauzzian blur.;) Akos, Ir is a blast. Cheryl has recently had a camera converted, and she's blowing me away with her images.:o

Beautiful IR image, Dave. Love all the details and the formal look. I might take a little off the bottom.

Thank you Christopher and Jay. I had cropped some from the bottom, but couldn't decide where to stop. I'll take another look.
