Shot of "Drifter" the Saker Falcon in display at HCT on a nice sunny day last month. In my experience Saker Falcons are a little easier to photograph than their cousins the Lanner & Peregrine because they fly just that bit slower... and are just that bit larger as well... so i have found that i get a better selection of shots than with the faster birds.
The light on this one was off to one side as it was getting towards sunset but it does give a certain warmth to the image.

What a difference a little light will make. Considerably less noise, nice detail and as always.....such nice eye contact. Even the underneath of the wing is light enough to see the beautiful color and detail. Well done.
