This is a Velvet Fronted Nuthatch, they live in the forests of India.Got lucky to get this guy pose for a second, with the light being low I did not want to push up the aperture. I did not push up the sharpness too much too..

Dang good shot considering the constraints you had with low light and the compromise you faced. Love the colors and that eye! Good stuff Kiran bhai. :)
gorgeous bird. sharp where it needs to be--great eye contact and pose. our nuthatches are a duller blue color but still fun to capture in their natural upside-down position. I always enjoy your images. Cheers.
Beautiful bird Kiran, unique pose and great detail in the eye. I like how you have brought out the subtle colour detail of the bird and great handling of the whites.
Kiran, I think this is the best shot of velvet fronted that I have seen. Stunning bird that I have seen only a couple of times and not very well. Thx for sharing.
Killer pose, exposure, crop and details. The velvet black spot is perfect. Looks a tad oversharpened to me though.
