This is a bit of a departure from me but I thought I would seek your feedback on this image from Kenya. I am certainly way out my "comfort" zone and any guidance would be appreciated.

It was taken early one morning when heading out in search of the six Cheetah cubs and when I left camp I had no intentions of stopping. Initially the colour of the sky caught my eye and then when a gap appeared in the trees and the Elephants appeared on the horizon, I decided that I had to stop and give it a go.

I love this image--I think you nailed it. The colors are spectacular and the elephants are posing nicely for you with tusks visible, etc. Your comfort zone is much bigger than you thought. Well done!

    Austin,

I think this rocks. Well done. The elephant on the right is at a good angle to you as you can see both tusks. The one at the left a good side view for the sillhouette. The only other version of this image I would like to see is the right elephant completely engulfed in the sun. But I would not have given up his perfect sillhouette for that.

    Again, well done.

Hey Austin, no need to worry about this. I like the setting, and colours of the sunrise. Good silhouette's of the two ellies, and if anything, I would maybe add a tad to the bottom. An opportunity well used.

Austin this is exactly my cup of tea and the kind of image I would rather take than the stock-standard portraits :)

awesome moody colours, awesome distinctive silhouettes and just a very "Africa" feel. I might have left a little more space on top...:D

    Well seen and captured Austin.
You just can't beat the Mara/Serengeti area for silhouettes IMO.

Visually exciting to look at with bold colors and perfect silhouettes on the ellies. Excellent work.

Austin, stunning image of an iconic place. Like Morkel I just love these types of photographs which often say so much more than close up portraits.

If I had the ability/chance to do silhouettes then I would be more than happy with this
