During my recent trip to the Kruger National Park, I was happy to spend a bit of time with this leopard. Although I have a full body shot, I went for a tighter crop here. Being in Kruger, you do not have the privilege to drive off road as in the Private game reserves, so one has to do with what you are presented with. I decided to leave the branch across the back.

where did you find this beauty in Kruger Stu? lovely clarity - how much of full frame is this?

Nice composition - although I would like to either see the tail or a tighter crop...do you mind if I post a suggested crop?

Thanks mate. This was on the main road between Orpen and Satara. You know whats its like with a sighting like this. Just have to find a space to park between everyone else, and take the shots that you can. Being in that part, it wasnt too busy though.

With pleasure go for your crop. ;)

Nice to see this in the relative open, especially in Kruger. I think I woud prefer the tail, or a closer crop.

Hi Stu, would go with the tighter crop, but have a fraction more above and not have the curl of the hip coming into frame. To me, the Leopard does look warm overall, might ease it perhaps.

Adore the pose, love the look, very nice.

    Stuart,

Great relaxed pose capture just right. Regarding not being able to get the rear of the animal in - have you tried stitching? The image you created and then pan right for the back end.

Thank you all for the feedback. Much appreciated.

    Mork, your crop does work.

Steve, She was tucked up in the shade, so maybe this is a tad too warm.

Robert, Thanks for the tip. I do have a full body shot, which I will post later.

Stuart - love the pose with the head on the paw. Great eye contact and detail. Agree on the crop by Morkel and might take even a little more from the rhs so no rear leg in it.

Love the eye contact and paw under the chin pose Stuart, would go with Morkel's crop and Steve's suggestion.
    A great sighting nonetheless.

Very, very nice Kruger sighting, Stuart. I like the tighter crop here, and agree on just a bit more off to hide the top of the stifle. Love the pose with chin on the paw.
