    I'm not an expert on ducks, but it looks like a female Mallard. Do they have Mallards in Europe? regards~Bill

    They certainly do have Mallards in Europe! They are one of the commonest northern hemisphere ducks and are taking over eastern North America. Agree this looks like a female Mallard with the strong line through the eye, blue speculum (that coloured patch on the wing) and overall speckled beige colouration.
