    Default Yours Truly: Andrew McLachlan

This would be my self-portrait taken at Indian Head Cove, on Georgian Bay, in Ontario's Bruce Peninsula National Park.

I grew up in Toronto, but always hated city life. I now live outside the city, on the outskirts of a small rural farming town. I have been employed in the dairy industry for about 25 years and operate computer automated systems for the making of cottage cheese, sour cream and yogurt.

I have always been fascinated by our natural world, but for many years I dreamed of becoming a singer/songwriter and thus spent much time in Nashville, Tennessee. It was loads of fun, but eventually I decided to sell my guitars, except one, upgrade my camera gear and pursue photography. I think it was a wise decision.

With only one guitar left you must sometimes feel like merely a shadow of your former self:D. That's OK, now with the camera gear you have you can photograph it!!

Bruce Peninsula is a beautiful area that I hope to visit sometime...

    Hi Andrew:

Love the self-portrait but guess we'll have to rely on your avatar to put the name with the face. Hope the photography brings you as much joy as the music did. Thanks for sharing some about your life.

Hey Andrew, I also once pursued a music career and lived in Nashville for a while. Did some studio work there and then moved to LA and worked in the studios there. Didn't like the politics of the music industry so took up electronics and entertainment work. Still have a little studio in my house and play keyboards. Dan already used the shadow gag, so I'll just say nice to meet you.

Nice to hear about your life and the shadow portrait is cool! You live in a beautiful area and I enjoy your photos. I used to play guitar as a hobby but I was never a singer!
