Admittedly pan-blurs are not normally my thing, BUT, with Denise and Artie's recent book launch plus this month's Avian project theme I did get inspired to try my hand at it. My two recent visits to the awesome Snow Goose spectacle offered the perfect opportunities as there is continuing action after sunset. Although I wish the water/land line did not intersect the top two birds I was pleased with the result...and you know what?...creating pan-blurs is alot of fun. I think I may have the blur bug now and will certainly continue to create some when the chances arise:). Thanks Denise and Artie!!

Canon 40D + 100-400L @400mm, shutter prority, evaluative metering, 1/15s., f/9, ISO 800, +0.7 EC, natural dusk light, handheld, just about FF.

Love the blurred effect and that killer pink water. But not the dark/light line cutting through the upper two birds.

Hey Dan, these pan blurs always create interesting effects. This shows clearly the motion of the wings. Well done. Lovely colour in the BG.

Daniel, Considering your artistic eye I'm surprised you haven't done more of these. I like the amount of blur and the beautiful pink color. I agree that the dark/light line cutting through the upper two bird is a minor distraction. It is very addictive and I look forward to seeing your creations. BTW-They are always welcomed in OOTB. Don't be a stranger.:)

Very nice image Daniel. I also love the colors on the water. My only other comment concurs with Artie about the bank cutting through the geese. Probably not much you could have done though. :) well done mate.

    Nice Daniel,
Love the composition. The dark bg does not bother me--I think it adds interest myself.
