Little Estero Lagoon, during Artie's Post X-mas IPT. Posting from the road, so specific techs available.
Guessing D3, 200-400 wide open, ISO at least 1200, it was overcast and really early.
Nik Color Effex Dual Tone filter applied at post-processing.
I'll be looking at Spoonies when you see this, on board the Hooptie Deux :)
Please forgive any imperfections like sensor dust or over-sharpening, processed in laptop!
The colors from the filter make it work for me. Love the soft feel of the image. The comp feels a little loose to me, but I am not sure a tighter crop would do this justice. So, kudos, I say! Well done.
Really nice image, Fabs. The filter effect adds a lot to it. There are a few dust spots :D and a little noise reduction on the background would really add to this. Here's hoping I can head out with you guys tomorrow!!!
Hey Fabs, Hope that you did well this morning... It is stormy this afternoon. I do not like the image. For starters, the head is turned a bit too far away, but it is the wierd colors that I do not like, esp. the (somewhat unnatural and sickening to me) yelllows at the bottom. But obviously I am make up the vast minority of one.
later and love and see you Sunday afternoon. ROT is not coming. Later and love, artie

Fabs, I really like the top half of the image and I'm OK with the head angle, but I have to agree with Artie about the yellow-green color cast on the bottom half. It was the first thing that struck me about this image.
Wow fabs im amazed by the neg comments on this image. But its great to see how guys like Artie view such work, such a great way for new guys like me to see your work receive such reviews. It really does help us improve.
Just one request, when you you get back do a quick print about 20x30 will do. Then send to me so I can study the image on my wall every day!!! Ok only joking but it will be great to see a repost when you get it on your editing system at home.
