    It is not very often you get to see any colour of Duiker and far rarer to see one that stands vaguely still for more than a few seconds, all of this is of course an excuse for the quality of the image, but I thought it was still worth sharing.

    Taken in Saadani Game Reserve, Tanzania, 10th September 2010

    Well Ken, I havent seen one of these guys before, and not sure if they are around these parts of SA. I like the rich 'red' colour, and interesting curly tail.

    Can't say I've seen one either Ken, shame it's moving away from you.
    Is it scratching, as it appears to have just 3 legs??:D

    Thanks for all of the comments, like most Duikers it has a "strange" appearance.

    The 4th leg will have to remain a mystery, judging by the speed of the "escape" it must have had 4 legs

    Just looked it up and it has another name, Natal Duiker, so it may have been down our way at some time:confused:

    Fantastic sighting, love the colour and the tail. You were obviously pretty quick on your shutter finger to get this one. :)
