    Dear All,

    Made this image in June at Jayamangalai Black buck Reserve, South India. Image was made from my Car with Beanbag support.

    Gear : Canon40D, Canon 500 f/4+1.4E
    EXIF : Aperture Priority | f/5.6 | 1/2000 | -0.33EV | ISO-250

    This is a nice pose, it would have been better if both eyes had been more visible, but I would be happy if it were mine.

    Strange that you have to have a reserve to protect them in their country of origin, yet elsewhere they are bred purely for hunting:(

    Thanks Ken. Yes its irony that we have reserves (three- as I know) in India to protect them. During the British Rule in India Black Buck were bred for prey and Cheeta (yes) was used to hunt them in the forests of Central India. Black Bucks are now declared as endangered and we have Reserves in India to protect them. Jayamangalai is the Third largest BB reserve (First- Velvadar and Second Rani Bennur) in India.

    I like how the twisting pose almost mimics the twist of the horns. This works very well vertical. Maybe another round of USM on the face.

    I like the way its body echoes its horns, very sculptural, like a spiral staircase.
