Fantastic. I think it could use a little less contrast, as is the tip of the bill is very close to pure black. I'd also run some noise reduction to clean up the background. Take just a smidge off the left, and a little more off the right, and you'll improve the impact your subject has in the frame. The head angle is great. Your low perspective is outstanding, Bill!! You did very well on this image.

I couldn't help myself. I cropped it and brightened it up a lot, added an adjustment layer of levels and just masked it to the highlights on the chest to bring them down a little bit (a really long way to perform a simple burn)

Thanks Blake. Saying things are looking better means the world to me! Actually I did another same type bird just the way you did it, but I didn't like the way the bill came out. This is my first in the mud, sand and water low angle image I have done, and I came back home wet, dirty and sandy, my truck is a mess but this is what you see. Thanks again,

My truck is Ft. Desoto on wheels, Bill :D I know the feeling. It's the extra effort that we put into our photography that sets us a part.

I like the angle and pose. The light looks a bit harsh but Blake's repost improved it a lot.

I like the low angle and the soft water color.

Great low angle and the blues surrounding the bird are quite appealing. The first image's look is rather muddy (yes, I know you were lying inthe mud!!) but Blake's repost has cleaned it up nicely. Good work Bill, getting down and dirty has its rewards...and thinking back at how you got the image is satisfying, right? :-)
