This was taken a couple weeks ago on a clear day. I thought these two guys looks pretty grim, but they backed off right away. I cropped the image a bit, cloned out the tip of the tail of another duck and applied USM. As you see I put them in the center of the frame, thinking it was appropriate with this composition? I believe lightening the shadows on their heads would help, but I'm not sure how to go about it. I'm pretty happy with the image. Please give me your thoughts, critiques, etc.

H Wendell The central composition works well with these guys Would take some of the top and bottom For the shadows the best thing is photographing them in soft light over our shoulder The light here was from your right

You could select the head area and lighten but will bring out noise I haven't been able to make them look natural You might want to increase density on the right duck Can also rotate ccw to level !!!
