Like the full stretch wing with over-wing detail. Background may look a bit busy but I like it, as it show a hint of the environment with good amount of blurred that does not distract my eye from the subject.

Troy, it's a nicely exposed image with a good wing span and HA. When I zoom in close to look at detail, though, I'm seeing a lot of artifacts around the head and body. Is this a substantial crop or did you need to over sharpen in order to bring out the details of the head?

For me, the BG would work better if it were at least all one color. I find the body of the crane gets a bit lost in the yellow/brown areas of the BG. An all green BG would have really made him pop out against the color difference. Just something to remember for next time!

Julie, it could be from the selective sharpening that I over brushed into the BG.
It was not a significant crop.
The banking shot at this location would not much green options, there are roads and houses, but the landing shots, if proper agle is chosen, would have green and blue.
Thanks for letting me know. I will look at the big version again.
