    Dear All,

    made this image last month in Bangalore. Conditions were little overcast, but light was just opening up. Shot this from Car with Bean bag support.

    Gear : Canon 1D Mark III & Canon 500 f/4+1.4E
    EXIF : Aperture Priority : ISO-400 : f/5.6 : -0.33EV : 1/1000

    Wow Subbu this is gorgeous! Is this Streptopelia chinensis? If so, we have them introduced down under. Top notch pose and light. Maybe ease off the sharpening a touch?

    Subbu, I think the BG is lovely and the pose and details are wonderful.

    Hi Akos, yes this is Streptopelia chinensis. A fairly common bird in Indian Sub-continent. Once upon a time that was pretty regular in Urban locations. But still found in good numbers in City outskirts. One pair was nesting in my Mango Tree last year :-)
