    Default Juvie White-rumped sandpiper

    Shorebird showing off its fresh juvenile plumage nicely. The bg was a jumble of rocks, which I tried my best to blur, and which I hope still isn't too distracting. Also quite a crop from the original.

    Grand Pre, NS. D300, 300 f/4 AF-S + 1.4TC. 1/2000, f/6.3, ISO640. Hand-held.

    Lovely Richard, the bird looks a touch hot in some places but I like the pose and catchlight in the eye.

    Excellent comp and exposure looks fine. I think there seems to be some detail loss due to noise reduction.

    pose is nice but detail rendition is poor.

    I feel the IQ suffered from the crop a bit. But nice pose, well blurred BG and I bet you are itching to get out and take some more shots! Well done! :)
