Default Another White-tailed Kite from Bosque

Another view of the white-tailed kite from Bosque del Apache. Wish it would take a tighter crop--but this
is as tight as I dare go. It was a great find --happy to have this at least. :)

Interesting effect, almost like a watercolour painting. Anything special done to the image apart from the crop? Speaking of which, would you have been able to crop to the same dimension but with the kite either higher (preferable) or lower in the frame?

    Hi Daniel,
Did not do much on this one--a bit of NR and sharpening. It is a pretty large crop unfortunately. One of the problems at Bosque is that you a so very limited on your approach-getting closer was unfortunately not an option here. That can be good and bad. :)
I'll still play with the crop on this---small screen laptop is not ideal for seeing what you really have.
    Thanks for commenting!

This is a very nice raptor but it is either a very tight crop or focus was soft as the fine details are lacking, still a nice record shot.

This is nicer than the previous one Bonnie. Still IQ is showing with the crop, but the BG colors lift the image overall. I agree with Daniel to have it a little higher. If you are ever in Australia, they are a little more obliging. No, they are not like those tame Florida birds, but much friendlier and an 800 will get you the goods with ease. :)
