Indranil-I just used polar coordinates and rotated the image adjusting the opacity and masking back in some detail every time.
Denise, wow, this is really creative and although it sounds like a simple explanation I can't fathom how you
achieved it. Was it one egret chick?

Cheryl, Thanks, I appreciate the kind words. This is the image I started with. I cropped it to a square because polar coordinates usually works better w/ square crops at least that has been my experience. Then after the PC I duplicated it and rotated it 9o degrees and lowered the opacity and masked back in some details. I also used the transform tool to push the circle back to a circular look after rotating it. Then I flipped it and w/ a layer mask I evened out the image. Then rotated it again and add a zoom blur using the elliptical tool. Then I added a couple of layers of white at low opacity until I got the look I wanted. The base image wasn't great but I felt that it had some interest.

Another wow! Your polar coordinates work is amazing! I like the softness around the edges and the various eyes. A bit disturbing, those eyes, which makes them effective.
