    Hi all,

i managed to photograph this Pied Kingfisher in the Masai Mara Kenya regulary over the course of about a month, he was busy feeding 2 noisy females catching plenty of small fish out of the same waterhole, the tricky part was to position the 4wd & get him on this nice perch with a clear background, Lets just say that other 4wds thought we were stuck from the angle we were on!
this shot was taken on a cloudy rainy morning, these mornings look very saturated this time of year during the short rains,

Good choice on composition--the kingfisher looking into the simple left-hand side of the photo. Sure, he's scraggly here, but you've recorded behavior. Shall I suppose, then, that it was impossible to position the truck so that you'd have had a more straight-on profile shot?

I like the diagonal perch & the BG. Neat action captured with a sharp eye. I think the water droplets are a plus.
