This GBH was at Sandy Ridge near Cleveland. On my way home from and decided to stop and check it out. Very cooperative, in Michigan we rarely see them just stand there and let you adjust your camera and shot. Hope you like it.

I believe that this is a worn youngster from last year. SH, BKGR, and EXP all perfect. That one scraggly ??? near the rear of the crest bugs me.

Nice light, comp, and BG. Good HA too. IMO the face looks a tad soft.

    Gary:

The feather display here is really nice, love the texture and details.
I am with Artie about the funny strand on back of head, perhaps consider evicting it.

    Cheers

Thanks Artie, the scraggly is evicted. Appreciate the input. Even though I am a bit jealous he can grow anything scraggly or not on the top of his head...since I can not:)

I am loving the repost. I don't grow anything up there either :)

Agreed that the head looks a tad, only a tad soft. Love the BG and the repost is very good. What was the scruffy thingy? A feather or garbage? TFS. . . . . . . . . . . .

Good angle of pose, and your repost looks good. The point of focus looks on the wing.

I visit Sandy Ridge often and I know that bird! He's usually in the tangle of fallen branches and dead trees but you've managed to get him in very nice light with a good BG.
