I am heading down to the south florida area on Wednesday and wanted to know what was happening at Wakodahatchee? Is it worth going over at this time of the year for sunrise? Are there many birds there presently?
Todd, wish I could help you out, but I am in north Florida.
Unfortunately the "Florida" forum has really lacked participation as of late. I'm hoping that as we make our way into the season that we start to see more posts and information shared.
I was at Wako 10 days ago for sunrise and really enjoyed it. The cattle egrets were bringing in nesting material. The anhinga chicks are in nests and being fed. There are a lot of green herons flying around, as well as great blues. I found it definitely worth the trip.
