It was my first time seeing a Purple Roller, so I got pretty excited taking the picture. Originally I wanted to dedicate this for the November project, but I did not plan the blur, so I guess it should not go for that. Photo was taken in Etosha. Thanks for looking.
Sharp and nicely designed and executed. The amount of blur in the wing tips at 1/1250 is surprising.

Amazing about the wing blur too mate. Nice pose and sharp. It needs some more punch, just looks a little flat. But you are excused as you are in Russia on your laptop right? ;)
Yes, Artie, I was surprised for the amount of blur too. I wanted a flight shot so I was standing by, waiting for the roller to fly up while my companions in the car were complaining that we had seen enough f****** rollers and that I had hundredes of roller photos already and we should look for cheeta or lion :-). But I didn't have a Purple Roller yet.
Ken and Ákos, yes, I am in the cold country on my laptop, so probably I could work on the colors to get a better result.
