I captured this image on Sunday morning. I'm quite pleased as it's the best of this species I've managed so far, and I think I"m starting to get used to the 7D a bit more now.

    Canon 7D 300F4+1.4tc ISO400, f7.1, 1/2000, manual mode.
Nearly FF, some slight curves, levels adjust, USM and NR

Very nice and the fact that makes it better is that it is nearly FF. Well done on that alone matey. I really like the surroundings and think maybe the LLC is a little distracting and in terms of comp, I feel the bird's body should be turned a bit more in your direction with the head as well. But I can sense your elation mate. Good work and keep it up! :)

Good low perspective, getting a little hot along the flank, and I agree with Akos that a slight turn of the bird in your direction would be good.

Every time Im down at the sea, these guys never seem to keep still. Good low perspective, and I like the light, detail and colours. Moving to your right may have paid off.;)

I like the colors a lot, the bird is great, love the legs.
Agree about LLC and HA here. I would remove the two spec dots
    on the left.

I agree with the above and would clone out some of junk on the sand

Thanks everyone for taking the time to comment.

I've got quite a few more from this session with less clutter and nicer HA's, so will post one of those rather than doing a repost.
