    Default Soft Rose

This is my first post here.

On this image, I underexposed the rose for a bit more mood. In PP I used NIK glamor glow
for color depth and contrast (multiply blend mode)....Shadow work in CS5, clarity to give more form to the pedals. Color shift to get the hues I was after and finally some smoothing/blending to eliminate a few in-focus areas and accentuate form.

I'm not sure this qualifies for OOB, would appreciate feedback

    Thanks for looking

Jay, Welcome to OOTB. This is a lovely first post. I like the soft dreamy look to this. Very nice colors and composition.:)Maybe just a hint less blur to the center?

Nice first image and application, Jay.

You definately qualify for OOTB, you will find different comments that will help you grow as you learn. The think to remember is it is your image and vision that is important.

As far as this one, I like it. I might have cropped it a little differently to put the center a little lower in the frame. I might also have increased the outer blur slightly. But ... your image ... your vision. Nice one at that.

Welcome to OOTB, Jay, and very nice image to start off this week's theme. Beautiful colors, and I love the soft flow of the rose petals. The repost looks perfect.

Welcome to OOTB, a great place for fun.

I like the second image, with the center sharper as it gives my eye someplace to settle. Sumptuous colors! I would prefer to have all four corners either dark or light, instead of two dark and two light. Nice pp work for a beautiful result.
