    Went to check out Wako today. We counted 6 great blue herons and one pair already engaged in nest building.

    Canon 7D, 500mm F4
    ISO 640 1/1000 F5.6

    That's quite a chunk of nesting material, Sid! Nice and sharp and stands out well against the darker BG. A bit of NR on the BG may be good.

    Yes, quite the load! Man, these guys start nesting early...most of ours have just left on their journey south. Nice and sharp, good colours. Ideally the front wing would have been extended a little higher, but I would take this any day! I'd probably tone down some of the lighter areas in the BG.

    Sid nice action captured here, like the detail and colours captured underwing and overall exposure. Good suggestions on background.

    Is he building a log cabin;) Good flight posture, and in turn can see good feather detail. Another vote for some NR in the BG.
