Gary, Beautiful colors and reflection. i might evict the bright dots on the bill. I never noticed their bills were so orange. Maybe I just never got close enough. Lovely image.

I like the reflection and smoothness of the water. Well done Gary.

Thanks Jim! Appreciate it. Very cold this morning with no wing. Thermostat on my truck was reading 17F as I went out. Have a great day.

Gary, a lovely shot. Great colors and perfect reflection in the smooth water. A few bright spots (e.g. the flank at the water line) look just a bit over the top on my screen. Great job getting close; every time I see these birds they're very skittish and won't allow me to approach within range.

Gary, this is a lovely shot of this species. Up here in Ontario I can't get anywhere near as close to them. Well done!

    Gary:

Lovely light, pose, reflection. This one is one of the best shoveler hens I have seen.

    Well done.

Which pond, Wintergreen or the back pond?

    Cheers

    Randy

Thank you sir. She was in Wintergreen Lake. They have been very cooperative this year. Just hoping the Canvasbacks and Redheads move a little closer. High yield morning! Hard to choose which Shoveler to post. Hoping to get out again tomorrow morning.

    Gary.

Great pose and love that reflection. If the specks on the bill are natural I'd leave them. Well done, gorgeous bird! :)

I like the light and colours, and the calm water has yielded a good reflection.

Nice looking shot Gary, does the reflection look sharper than the duck?
