Lesser spotted Eagle
Hi all
I have taken this shot in Azini Mangrove forest .I was in boat. D300-Sigma 150-500@500mm-F/8-1/1250SEC-ISO640-hand held.
Thanks for the looking and comments.

Very nice landing pose and wing spread. I like the details and framing. The BG is not appealing but it is what it is.:)

Hi Asad
Wonderfully sharp capture mate. I wonder out of curiosity whether the eagle is landing or taking off? I do think based on the body posture and head looking up as if to see where to go that it has just taken off? Not much you could do about the muddy bank then. Well done on all other accounts.

Lovely flight pose with great head angle and good show of talons. Good sharpness and love the detailed colouring on the chest.
Peter could this possibly be a juvenile with brown eye and distinct wing pattern ? Greater Spotted is a darker bird both adult and juvenile.

I think you might have caught the Greater Spotted Eagle here: dark eye and gape ending mid-eye: Lesser spotted has yellow eye, gape ending towards rear of eye.
Hi Peter
Thanks for comments.
